You probably should have posted this in whatever original thread you're referencing. Here, without context, it's hard to say what we're looking at?
I have no idea what I’m looking at. Is it a US coin? Foreign? What denomination? How about some sort of description of what you think it is and full size photos of the entire coin, both sides please.
This is it,from his last thread not sure why the op had to create another its just a damaged coin https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1985-p-jefferson-nickel.401552/#post-11613178
You just got a razzing. As far as the Jefferson you posted, it is still damaged, there is displaced metal that rises above the details/die face. Just put the coin in a flip, staple it tight, put the coin away, go look at more coins, keep putting them away for a year, label them as to what you think they are, read other's posts learn what to look for. Then go back to those coins and weed out the ones you don't have answers for. Come back in another year. Look at them all again. Weed out some more. Numismatics is a journey, not just a pocket change find. Sorry went off on a tangent...
Doesn't bother me. That's why I post them on here. To find out the truth. I could care less what any one says. I can just go some where else to find my answers if I'm inconveniencing some of the experts on here because I know less than them and I'm trying to find out what I have I'm so sorry
Also people ask me for other pics that's why I posted them I'm sorry that I'm excited about the coins that I find I'll try to be more miserable and less excited for y'all
This is not what I am saying. If you would have attached the pics to your original thread, then most of the above folks wouldn't have said anything. Not knowing what they are looking at caused the confusion and could have been averted by just showing the coin as a whole. I happened to remember the coin, otherwise I might have razzed ya just the same. It's all in fun Joshua.
