Conservation of 1943/2 Nickel PVC Contamination

    Hey gang!

    Here is a before of a coin I am going to attempt to conserve. This coin has a coating of hazy PVC which has also caused some slight toning.

    Here is the before.

    My first step will be an acetone bath. I will post pictures after.

    I agree, an improvement. But it appears that your effort was a bit too late to save the coin from permanent damage.
