When going through my penny stash, I found this strike through grease 1968 (? appears as a ghost on scanner). There are multiple errors with both the obverse and reverse. Please give me your comments as to it overall shape, condition and error state. Struck Through Die Both Sides.jpg

The coin looks like it is from the 1990s rather than 1969, which can be confirmed because the letters AM in AMERICA are together rather than far apart, which started in 1993. The strike through grease adds no additional value to the coin.

That's not entirely accurate. Most of the ones that only have a letter missing are not that collectible but when the date is affected they are desirable to some collectors. May not be much value but certainly more that a cent.

Worth really only a buck or two. ^

    It looks like 1991 D or 1997 D.

Thanks for the comments as I think that that a couple of bucks is well worth the find. After I looked at the coin again, i think that the coin is a 1998 D. Thank you all for your comments.
