Hi - I think this is a Republic of China coin maybe from the 1930s? The design is similar to those but I haven't been able to pin down the variety/ year. About 26mm and 6.6g. I have two of them. Can anyone help? Thank you! :smile

    Republic of China is correct.

The inscription on the "sun" side of the coin is "Republic of China 25th Year" which would be the year 1936.

The side with the "spade money" shows the denomination as one fen ("one cent").

There are similar coins made in different years at various mints.

Your coin was made at the Shanghai mint.

You know with my Krause, I probably should have figured that out. Doesn't the first symbol mean literaly "year" and then you have the 10 multiplier next to the 5 and 2. Duh!
