Hello I have been surfing ebay recently for some auctions on some major error coins and I found one which seems to fit too well into the category. But one issue is im just not sure how to tell if its real or not. I normally go by the rating of the ebay seller and the return policy, and well this one is sort of on the iffy side for so please tell me what you think?

Ask the seller if he would measure it for you.

In this case the dime planchet was not as well centered as it was on the OP coin. It was already more south and west when it was struck.

This is a totally different type of error.

The key as to whether or not it is real would be the diameter. Since the weight is correct the coin would have to be the diameter of a dime or larger. If you took a quarter and cut it down to the proper weight it would be SMALLER than a dime because the quarter is struck on thicker stock than the dime.

It sure looks manufactured to me. Raised Rim and all.
