I don't see any evidence of tooling. The coin looks sharply struck for a 1921, but lackluster.

If you are talking about the slash across the "2" and the back of the neck, it is damage. I don't see any thing that would resemble tooling of features.

I do not see an issue with the coin other than the surfaces look excessively cleaned.

I don't see tooling, I think they have it undergraded, I think the strike is sharper than usual, and I think the cut through the back of the neck down through the 2 and rim is damage.

Looks ok but I do question the look/color and how the mat-finish is similar to some counterfeits out there.
That could be the image though.

AU details, but it is not going to get a real grade with that scratch. It looks dull too - possibly cleaned a long time ago. Or maybe a bad pic.

I'm not positive on cleaning, but something looks odd on the coin's surfaces. In hand examination would be the only way to figure it out. What I am pretty sure of is this coin has issues, and should not command a premium. But, being on ebay, it of course will.

No one else mentioned it, but don't forget these were struck in high relief, so its expected they will look different somewhat from all other Peace dollars.

Yeah, I thought of it, and did compare it to my '21 in almost identical shape. I therefore do not suspect authenticity issues by looking at the pictures.

Ok thanks for the comments. I really was concerned about the reverse but the consensus is that it is ok so i might take a stab at it and see how it looks in hand.

    Thanks again
