What caused this proof's finish to be so flat?

    I think it is smoke from a fire....find it very cool....what are other's thoughts?

    It might also have been a simple case of improper storage.

    I agree the haze is most likely the result of improper storage... And is most likely PVC.

    Done some searching and in general this dull, flat, is associated with PVC. Smoke usually comes with heat, and the combination results in a more yellowish tone to the haze...according to what I have found.
