Is this a ok price for this Mercury dime?http://www.ebay.com/itm/16071651507...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1408wt_829
i think that its a pretty good price, there's another one going for 16 ATM,they both look to be in good condition.
WOW THEY CAN BE WORTH THAT MUCH I HAVE A TON (like 50 or more) OF THESE. I also have earlier dates as well.
Matthew, A couple of the mercury dimes are worth a lot more than melt, I'd suggest you buy yourself a redbook.
Considering there was another one in the same or probably worse shape than yours is with a BIN price of 90.00, I'd say you did quite good. Just my opinion.
theres a big difference between BIN and bidding, BIN they can ask what they want and if its reasonable they will sell, if it isnt reasonable usually someone will try to talk them down. Bidding is what people are actually willing to pay for the item, and it sells for what someone is willing to pay.
I just checked out the item specifics on the listing. You have a one of a kind ANACS certified Carson City Mercury dime. WOW...What a find!!!!
Hey, I have several rolls of Mercury dimes too, but only one each of the 21 and 21 D. Mine are worn, but easily identifiable. I swapped for them and both of us were happy with the trade. I guess the value of my pair at a bit more than $200. I guess that price was OK, I just like a bit cleaner date.
well your welcome! glad i could help. figured i might post that since you posted you found one for 90 and he paid 20. i can find ase's for 75 but on craigslist i can find them for 50, must be getting a good deal.
You got that right! I bought one a couple of years ago for right around $26 and although it looked as good as one in the OP's pic in hand I got to see the real deal. I gotta tell ya' I won't by a 1921 dime ever again unless I'm willing to pay the price and buy one in person. That's the name of that tune!! Dimes are terrible to buy online when you're looking for a specific year especially a 1921. Trust me, you will not believe how thin them suckers can get until you see one.
Your help is neither asked for or desired. BTW, if you pay 50.00 for ASE's, Ive got a ton I'd be happy to unload on you at that price.
That 1921 is easily AG and $26 seems reasonable, but I wouldn't be too excited about owning it because Mercs don't look that great in AG, in my opinion.
Not all coins are collected equally. Unless they are key or semi-key dates, they might only be worth bullion value.
