If it is a real coin it would be of a date after 1479, because it has the Castle which represents the kingdom of Castile, and it has the Lion which represents the kingdom of Aragon. These images appear on Spanish coinage together after the marriage of Fernando II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile. I will do some more checking on it unless someone else finds out first.
So far I can tell it is a Maravedi. Not sure of the date, but if it was real ,it would be made of pure copper. Check out this site for more help http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/World-Coin-Price-Guide.aspx And in this condition it would be valued between 5 and 30 bucks. JMO
