Having lived in Colorado Springs for many years, I'm thrilled to have picked these notes up recently:
Not really considered an error. Nationals were delivered to the banks in sheets and cut by the banks.
Wow! I wanted to find a Castle Rock, & Elizabeth National until I saw what one would cost even in G condition! Who knows, probably in a book in someones attic on the other side of the country? Those are real nice!!! It is so hard to bid against someone who has a hometown connection with a National! I tried to score a Trinidad, CO T1 not long ago, and man that bugger was in the stratosphere when it was said and done. I had to let it go, just got to rich for my blood, and besides I've only drove through Trinidad a dozen times in my lifetime. Don't think I even stopped there? Oh and don't get me started on the $10 '02PB from Raton, NM! That sucker almost touch $700 bucks! I have a feeling the buyer may of thought it was a territorial - It wasn't! The issuing bank was chartered late, and well after NM was a state. You got to have a Nationals Bank Book if anyone is serious about buying these for-sure! Again, you scored big Ed! Real nice! I mean to find a Springs in that condition! WOW
