Thanks greg. The guy was asking 75 bucks, I didn't even make an offer otherwise it would be gone. This is why I collect Franklins.

Plase Post vdb. Doesn't even have to be over the top. Glad to know there are other Franklin people out there.

Good price. At least in my opinion. The colors are perfect. I really like the base color on the coin as well. It's not blast white, I dig it big time.

Your 57 there..that is why I don't collect franklins and sold my entire set. I don't know why I despise the design so much. Like I have mentioned before, he looks like he has a mullet. Without the colors...blah! I don't mean to upset any of you frankie collectors. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? :)
I do have three, and I am about to purchase one more though. Hippocratic much gbroke?

Greg I don't get upset at all. The 57 doesn't have that blue hue horizontal line in hand, not sure what was up with that. I dig the mullet, but not the small eagle on the right. What some people fail to mention is that we would have never won the American Revolution if it wasn't for Franklin. The 58-D is one of my favorites. It has a nice, light (tasteful tone). Not just natural, but defines the term natural tone. Love it.

The reverse in your top 63 is a dream. I'm usually not into the speckled varieties, but this one is awesome because of the light green along the half pipe. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing early PCGS slab. I heard grading was much stricter then than now. Thats a fantastic coin and I am heavily into Franklins.

I have gotten into Franklins very heavily in the past few years. My other passion is Ike. Two good books for Franklins are: The Official Red Book. A Guide Book of Franklin & Kennedy Half Dollars. Rick Tomaska; which has color pics of toned Franklins. The Complete Guide to Franklin Half Dollars. Rick Tomaska; black and white but a LOT of detail on Franklins. I got mine on Ebay. Thats a good start on your set. My opinion is the nicer MS I would put in Saflips and keep them in either an Intercept Shield or blue Whitman 2x2 storage box. it looks you have a few at least MS60. You would be surprised how good some AU look and they would look great in the album; the problem with those albums is that some of the components may be acidic and cause problems in long term storage. I advise wearing cotton gloves when handling any coin; even circulated-definately UNC. I found cheap cotton gloves on Ebay and got plenty-eventhough they are thin its better than your bare hands and its easy to throw them away when they get too much green or dirty on them. Hope this helps. I think your set looks GREAT!

Several years ago I bought about 6 "original bank rolls" on Ebay in the brown wrapper. Turns out most have been cleaned (whizzed). I am not completely upset to find this out as when I bought them silver melt was about half what it is right now. However, I think this means at some point someone took them out and cleaned them and put them back in the roll. A cleaned modern coin is hard to get graded. In addition to whizzing I bet they were dipped also. My only disappointment is that I spent so much money buying Lighthouse rounds to house them before I found out they had been cleaned. Oh well, live and learn; everytime I stay out of the hobby without communication like with this website (which is the best for the hobby) or being member of a local club this stuff happens so I can't complain much "LOL".

Yes eventhough mine is softback it includes Kennedy which I am interested in all halves. Its a great book to see the toning. My only toning is my milky IKE brown box LOL LOL!
