I saw this on E-Bay, and my question is why did this coin get graded by PCGS as a wide varity. It appears to me that this is a close A-M. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=110810797196
From what I can see, it looks WAM to me. But the reverse is difficult to see from the pic you posted. Added: I went to the ebay one, and for his price, with or without the poor pic of the reverse he provides there, I would NOT purchase it even if I was in the market for it. At 895.00 for a MS65 WAM that is quite high. More than I think it should be worth. But since you need to buy the coin and not the slab, if you were in the market for this, I would ask that he take and put up a clear picture of the reverse.
It is a Wide AM. What occurs is that they may not be simple to distinguish from a particular image. Example:
Alan is always on the "high" side of pricing his PCGS coins. Current PCGS Price guide lists this one at $750 with 28 graded at MS65RD.
