Team, Here is another post to bother you on a Saturday afternoon. I'm not much oa a Jefferson Nickel collector and all my pieces are in tubes. Here are five pretty good War Nickels. A couple of them have Full Steps if you look closely, and fingerprints LOL I'll be putting these into 2x2 flips. Thanks For Looking Bone
Great idea to put these butes in 2x2's-they're really nice looking coins from your pic. Bummer on that fingerprint though.
Very nice Bone!! I love the wartime nickels when they're in that kind of condition. They usually look like they've been run over by a truck. Here is a full set of them that I finally put together. Not as nice as some of yours but all are AU/BU. EDIT:Oops! accidently put in a '42D which is not wartime and forgot the '45S..here it is.
We just added a war nickel to Thalia's 20th Century Type Set folder this afternoon at a stop at the local coin shop. Let's just say it didn't look like any of the ones pictured. But hey, for 40 cents, can't complain. The coins you've presented are really nice examples! I don't think I've seen any as well preserved as these are in a long time, if ever.
Hey Bone. Nice coins!!! My dad last year bought an un-opened roll of 1943-d's and man were they pretty....most had toned a pretty tone and we sent a handfull of the best ones off to NGC....the best one was MS67 FS....along with some MS66FS. Speedy
Thanks Speedy and everyone else. I've got seven which should go MS, but I'll just keep them in flips as I prefer coins raw. I've never sent one in for grading. Take Care B
