I sold it last night at the Great Collections auction. Was thinking of cracking it out and resubmitting hoping for a "63" grade, but decided that other people would be able to enjoy it through auction.

With gold, see how many nice coins have real toning. This one has it on the edges. I was told that this holder actually "breathes", it is not totally cut off from air circulation as holders today.

 

Really nice!! The image of this piece is just amazing! It's like I'm holding it in my hand.....Great work!

I found 5 roll full of these 'Crazy Toned' Kennedy, and decided to keep 80 of them.

 

That is so 70s retro you don't even know!

 

Ya, 70s retro is right, woodstock, tie die, marley......
Good thing is..i found 5 rolls for them, and i kept 4 rolls....
They all came in these old brown wrappers, and I believe they have been sitting in the vault of this bank since 70's!!

I posted this earlier today on the PCGS boards. This is not my coin.
However, it's just about the prettiest Stone Mountain Commemorative I've ever seen.
The surface almost looks like mother of pearl and I love that bit of russet and green.

 

Boy, I sure would like to see what Phil could do with that. What an eye popper it would be.

 

3 Rolls of Toned coins!

Last week my wife and I picked up 3 rolls of SBA's from my favorite banker. In my mind I believe these are some of the best SBA's I have ever seen and every one of them is toned in some way and the fact they are in awesome condition. In the same rolls I found 5 coins with the same die cracks on obverse and reverse in various stages and a major die clash on one. Anyway I have these coins and dont wont to just turn them back in so if anyone wants a coin, coins or roll let me know. I would like for them to go to a good home, they really are truly beautiful.

P.S. Awesome Condition has been granted approval by my 13 yr old daughter.

 

I wouldnt mind getting my hand on one of those toned SBA for my 7070 collection I am working on. Let me know what you need from me.
