How to tell Zinc Plated Steel Cent from an Original Steel Cent

Here, Just photoscaped them together, no need for a new shoot.

 

Ok so here are pics of the corroded original Unc coin next to the re-plated cent. Notice the color difference and you can see the wear on the coin that was plated over.(one of the sure signs)



And here is a little test.

 

2 is original, the rest are re-plated

 

Now I gotta go back to the coin shop and take a look at the 300+ steelies somebody dumped on them. Some were nice but I couldn't tell if they were original. This thread really helped!
