I would'nt get these coins graded, they are both rather common in their condition status.

The Morgan looks to be a 65, but I fear that what appears to be fingerprints may hold it back to a 64.

The CBH looks to be a VG, but I have extremely limited experience with the series.

I wouldn't these are both common coins in the series in grades that are readily available. If you want these coins slabbed, I would suggest you buy already slabbed examples. For instance, the 1880-S Morgan is considered the best struck coin in the series and is extremely easy to find in high grade with booming luster.

It wouldn't be worth it to have either one certified. Both look to have been improperly cleaned. The Morgan doesn't appear to have any luster at all, and the Bust Half also has scratches that would definitely earn it a details grade.

PS. If there weren't any fingerprints on the Morgan when you bought it, there are now!

Won't acetone remove fingerprints if they are fresh?

Is there any luster on the coin in person?

Chris mentioned it looks to be cleaned, but perhaps it's Proof-Like?

There both nice coins the bust series is my weakness along with my wallets weakness however I wouldnt send either the Morgan is nice but I wouldn't buy a raw Morgan then send it in. If u buy it graded first it maybe cheaper in the long run on a common date Morgan

the capped busts are also my favorite, this is my first actual purchase of one so even if it is not the greatest anyones ever seen it was what i could afford and i love it and plan to have many more.

    Possibly...but it's not a guarantee.

The coin has been cleaned. Even if it started out life with a prooflike appearance, it could/would not have maintained it, once it circulated to the extent that it had AU or XF details, much less, to the even heavier extent that it has actually worn.

I am concerned that you would even consider spending money to try to have such a coin graded, and that you bought it, not knowing it had been cleaned and was not naturally prooflike. It sounds like a recipe for trouble in your coin purchases.
