Spot plus $60 for a $20 Double Eagle - Liberty Head - 1904?

    The seller is asking $1,700 for this coin. Is this a fair deal or can they be had closer to spot? He only has one picture and it's below.

    Do you know for certain that it's genuine and hasn't been cleaned or polished? If not, I'd avoid it.

    Actually wouldn't $60 over spot be about right for bullion buy price. That about 4% isn't it?

    He claims it hasn't been cleaned but doesn't know if it has been polished. He says it's in good condition and is smooth. Sounds like it might have been polished.
