1999-D Lincoln weird thick straight lines of Reverse

    I don't if anyone else will agree with me, but at least the ridge by the word "united" looks like a die crack. I am not so sure about the others, but they could be the same thing. thanks for posting!

    They look to die gouges to me.

    :)I agree with Dutch.
    I posted 1 that looked same But maybe a different date or one just like it. but I can't find the post, there were 2 answer one was die gouges & the other one feeder fingers made the marks.

    These are usually called feeder finger marks where the feeder finger keeps rubbing against the die and puts scrapes on it. I have some cent coins that are almost completely covered with these die gouges or whatever we want to call them..

    I've got one with the line poking right off the back of Lincoln's head so it looks like a cowlick. Love em!

    Perhaps minimal value to someone that collects them. You see them fairly frequently so they are not a rarity.
