foreign coins are not worth much unless gold ,silver or extremely rare or unique, in some markets.

    Just a thought

Greetings inherit I too inherited a bunch years back and was in same boat. I think a previous poster was correct in saying they are worth what someone is willing to pay. In that light what I do is go on ebay and search for coin once list shows up on left click on completed listings and a list of unsold and sold coins shows up with that list you can get an idea by comparing your coin to similar sold coins Best Regards Stephen

The US has never produced steel nickels. Perhaps you are talking about War Nickels (1942-1945) that are 35% silver.

Right, most world coins are worthless to people that don't collect them. Much like how U.S. coins are worthless to people that don't collect them.

I was the executor of my fathers estate. Learning the value of the coins takes some research.

Some people will say that whatever you have is worthless, mainly because they do not want it, but those people do not know what everyone wants.

I would say, stick around here for a little while, learn some things, and you will have a better idea of what is what.

The best thing you can do is buy a Red Book or other numisatic books or even google what you are asking here. Not trying to sound mean it's just sometimes easier and faster to google something then to wait for someone to respond.

Yes I have heard what you are asking and until you get into specifics i.e. condition, date, or even have a picture then we cant really help.
