Pretty sure he has a Top 5 Registry Set, though I can't remember what series of coin it covers.

Perhaps the majority of whatever he sells...? :p

He doesn't even need to put anything in his ads. Just the pictures. Crazy.

Chocolate and vanilla I guess, I don't care for the coin at all. I find the die erosion in front of the bust quite distracting, ugly even.

Mr. Weygant is a dealer whom I frequently see at shows and auction lot viewing. He is a heck of a nice guy and typically has a quality, eye-appealing inventory.

I was thinking the same thing.
I saw the toning then saw the bust and I was like ewww. Looks awful.
This one on the other hand.... beautiful. AU58

I'll take one please, minus the rainbow toning and die erosion. ;)

The rainbow natural toning is what he seeks in coins. I have bought several from him. 100 year old+ coins are not BLAST WHITE

Wow. You have been around for a long time and I definitely respect your opinion... but... While the coin didn't just roll out of the mint and it's not a perfect example - to call a coin which is 180 years old and in AU-MS state or better "ugly" just sounds really snobby to me. But as you said, chocolate/vanilla whatever

I agree that the die erosion is distracting, I much prefer the 1824 over the 32. It is amazing that the 1832 is in such great condition, but - if I was going to spend the kind of money it takes to get a coin like that, I would look for one that did not have so much erosion right in front of the face. But that's just me. I wouldn't call it ugly, but I wouldn't buy it either.

Like another one said, vanilla and chocolate. I dislike rainbow tones on coins, I think they make a coin look ugly. I'll take old, dirty and worn before a toned coin. I like the history of what a coin has seen, who's possibly carried it, etc, not because it sat undisturbed for years or decades in someone's closet hoard to get the tone or rainbow tone it might have now, that's not an interesting story to me. ;)

If I want rainbows, I'll eat me some lucky charms in the morning. ;)

Oh yeah that 24 is the trump card. The one on display is from his website. He needs to get that switched out. But look at his other coins.

I think that one is around priced at close to 7 large. The 24 BH above is an even 2.

My comments have nothing to do with the grade or my expectations. The coin could be VF and still have great eye appeal in my opinion. It's just that to me, that one has terrible eye appeal for the reason I stated.

I may be a lot of things, but a snob isn't one of them. You just took my comments the wrong way. Not that the first time somebody did that, won't be the last.

jjk78, we don't see what some of these people see. I don't know about you, but I can't peel back the layers like somone who has handled thousands of these coins. It doesn't mean that we are wrong. Kind of like that ASE Monster tone I bought. Total buyers regret on that one.
