Actually I think the obverse of the sac, and reverse of the Ike are the best designs since the WL half was retired. Some of the state quarters are good, and the ocean in view nickel.

The metal is bad in the sac, but they sent most of l these things to Panama anyway, where they like them.

I think it's the baby's head peeking out from the papose on the SAC that bugs me. combine that with the lame golden color and lack of reeded edge,it dosen't look or feel like real money.
I did put back 5 rolls so maybe i should plan a trip to Panama.;)
I agree about the IKE reverse,:thumb:

One of the most beautiful proof coins. Just do not touch it and ruin the finish. Mother's eyes are the bomb.

How about low grade V Nickels. I agree with the dollars. Last decent one was the Peace.

The usual suspects mostly. Don't care much for barbers, seateds, liberty nickels. The 1795 draped bust dollar is my favorite dollar design.

Despite the criticism for the Sac dollar, which I can understand, I have a soft spot for it. My daughter Thalia, upon first seeing it when she was about three, called it the "Mommy-Baby Dollar." It's hard to argue with that! She was born in 2000 which was the first year for that coin.

As for its immediate predecessors... well... er, uh... [insert smilie of duct tape over mouth to avoid saying anything]

I read something about this awhile back. The image on the Sac looks something close to the way Panamamian people look. There was some reason they like a $ coin over a bill, forgot what it was. The edge is plain to help distinguish it from quarter ( helps the blind, also).

I think it exactly matches the Canadian loonie dollar coin for specs.

Ike's are poor also, however the reverse isn't so bad.

Even though I am a newbie and don't know what the hell I am talking about. I dislike pennies and other coins after the 40's. Once the Ike's, Kennedy's, Washintons, etc, came around it is boring to me.....I can't collect things that look like the change in my pockets. Not to knowck what someone is into. This is just my opinion.

    Wasn't Sacajawea an abducted kid?
Didn't some Indian tribe kidnap her from her tribe?
