Whao...that Lincoln must have some really bright luster. Is the toning much more attractive in hand? I think I some some rainbow action similar to the well-known 1970-S LD proofs. I would have guessed PR-64 and they give it 3 grades higher.
Yeah, it is target toned blue and red on the obverse, which does not come through in the pic at all... Plenty of luster which is enhanced distinctly by the toning. The reverse has a dark green toning band that I have never seen on "any" coin... very cool and eye catching, and again, more dramatic in hand. happy with this one,, glad I cracked it out and sent it in !! I've not seen any 70s sm dt prf rb's nicer. Now I need to get it's sister LD... tried to go after one last night that looked like it had potential on the 'bay... I put in a wild high bid in the last 10 seconds and it got beat... some poor ebayer paid waaay too much.. lol. It was a common target toned 70s prf LD with standard common target toning, it was at around 5 bucks with a few seconds left,,, I plopped down a 29 buck bid to take it home and that bid go blown away... some poor guy won a 2 man bidding war. I checked on the bin's and found one just like for 12 clams....
I sold quite a few of the LD target toners. The cheapest one sold for like $40. If someone bought one for $12, they stole it. I've NEVER seen one that cheap.
