    What till you stumble across some pics from Green18. I recall that he posted some a year or more ago. They were lovely.

    Yep, they don't make them like they used to.
    I remember reading some of the committees comments when they were considering designs for the WTC commem. One of them in particular made me wince. The comment by one member on one of the rejected designs was that "it looked like something that would have been designed in the early 20th century". Everyone has their own tastes of course, but I don't see how you could say that most of the stuff were getting today is superior, or anywhere close to, the early commems.

    Well start saving your penny's for the "tough" ones. Hawaii, Layfette, Isabella, Spanish Trail, Hudson.

    But it is a neat set to have and with them all being different it keeps your interest very well. Be sure to keep showing us as your set builds!!

    same here if i won the lottery i would buy atleast 10 boxes or so of ase and build a complete cent set , and proofs quarter nics and dimes..

    and prolly open a mueseum and travel helping poor people or art gallery where id display art for free..
