As mentioned in my post today..here are pics of the 1875 S 20 cent piece a friend (coin dealer) sold me. It Came back as a PCGS MS-63

Thanks everyone for taking a peek. I appreciate the comments. Just for your info..I paid $390.00 for the coin raw. PCGS was very good to me on this one!

Semper Fi Bruce...this one is in the safe for my little Marine. It is quite hard to capture the irridescent colors this coin throws off..this pic does not do it justice.

Now I realize that there are a lot of Morgan dollars that look like they just rolled out of the mint yesterday,but for most others,this is the real deal!

Not only does toning look great... but the reverse is well struck, something you don't see on too many of the 20 cent pieces. Nice!

I love the 20c and that's a very nice one! Not that I have enough to get (that I don't have) but I'd like to replace the one I have with something a bit better.

 

Hey Speedster...how ya been? I for one have been lurking and just reading for the most part..Anyway the pic does not do the coin justice..try as I may, it just will not come out correct. Judge is a great guy and I think this one slipped by everyone (except me).

I was kidding...you didn't need to tell us all of "your dealers" ....sometimes people don't want to tell anyone else the names of the dealers they buy from.

I've been great....working on the last 2 coins for my PF66 Franklin set.....I'm going to upgrade a few of the ones I have to CAMEO and also from PCGS slabs to NGC that way they are all in NGC slabs.

I just sold that coin not long ago for 4.5x what I bought it for.

I bought it rawand sent it in to PCGS.. it came back a MS63
