I came across a completely unknown coin (or token) the other day. Does this seem familiar to anyone? My best guess at this point is that it's an Indian temple token, but I have no real idea what it is.
it is iranian celebration token not coin its some token that used in wedding party ,write on it cogratulation.
What is the time period for it? Any idea of the composition or scarcity? And which side says congratulations? -Thanks
They are fairly common, such tokens were made for weddings, the Nowruz holiday, etc. The one with a mirror on it like yours is for weddings, like iranabc mentioned. Time period would be mid-century (1950's-60's). It may be a bit earlier or later, but most are within that period. It's likely brass, sometimes they are also silver gilded.
