Team, Here is a (sadly damaged) 1830 Capped Bust Dime which is of a very late die state with a significant die cud on the reverse. It has an R-6 rarity rating to boot The experts over at the Bust Coin Forum (now defunct I guess) which included Byron Reed all agreed on the attribution. I was basically offered several multiples over what I paid for the coin I declined the offers. Thanks for looking Bone
I remember that one-(was UScoinrunn88 on Bust Coin Forum). Did you cherrypick it, and for how much and how much is it worth (ballpark-with/ without damage-net graded) ?
I paid $29 for it and discovered that dark wax was filling the holes when I got it out of the flip and into better light. Talk about ****ED-OFF, that was until discovering it was an R-6 I turned down $160, so it's one of my better accidental finds. B
Probably so, but I'm not going to worry about it. I wrote down the complete attribution and have it someplace, probably on the flip B
