1976 D bicentennial quarter Error

    Does this looking like doubling on the M in America? Not sure what this type of error this is. Thanks for your help. :smile

    Flat and shelf-like = machine doubling (md). Not a collectible type of doubling.

    I see no evidence of doubling of any kind, but you should know that hub-doubling is not considered an error. It is a variety. There is a difference.
