They are notes printed on what is called a WEB press. When introduced, they were tracked by the Treasury to see how they held up in circulation. Many paper currency collectors have separated their collections, by distinguishing this class from the others.

I used to keep track of every coin while I was collecting Finnish coins by date in the mid of 90´s, but stopped when turned dark side. As most of my coins are pulled from cheap lots or 0,20 euro / piece -boxes I don´t see any reason to spent my freetime to cataloging those. Of course I have to remember what I already have and that´s why I´m thinking some kind of online solution to help in that case. For example join in Don´s World Coin Gallery and access to it via cell phone when shopping out there.

If you go through an insurance company that specializes in numimatics, the rates drop way down. As a ANA member, I use their recommended carrier and save 2/3 the cost for the same insurance coverage that my home owners policy charges. National branded companies cannot compete with specialty insurers. They also don't need quite as much documentation to issue coverage, either. Just a dollar amount seperated into investment classes, not details on individual pieces. If you have one or two coins that are extremely valuable, five figures or better, then a separate list my be involved.
