If this has been brought up before, then my apologies. But how can people continue to buy this crap. Even after 121 negative feedback's and 158 neutrals in 12 months? The pictures are poor quality photoshops and how many of these mystery boxes did this damn clock have in it??? I've seen this same listing for over a year. And the auction is up to $41.00! http://www.ebay.com/itm/PEPSI-AD-BO...ndividual&hash=item337074390e#ht_11111wt_1185
My question is... Are those copy coins as old as the clock??? I would definitely build a secret room to stash my Chinese fakes in.
I think those buyers just skim through the item description and jump right to the pictures. They don't even know they're buying copy coins.
If everyone were that smart, then sites like this, Coin Vault, National Collectors Mint, etc., etc. would go out of business. As PT Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every day!" (or was it every minute? Hmm?) Chris
How that guy continues to sell that junk is amazing! One look at his FB should set off alarms for any potential buyer. His sales method is, at best, sleazy.
Yeah, I got to the bottom and then recognized the address. I should go over there sometimes. This guy even advertises in Numismatic News selling low grade ancients, slef slabbed coins, etc. I only remember it since it was in St Paul, about 45 minutes from me. They have changed their names like 3 times in the last couple years.
not sure why people buy junk. besides all the over priced coins sold on TV, there are tons of informercials advertising junk, tons of exercise machines that do nothing but take up room in your closet. it's all fantasy. junk junkies if you do a search for junk drawers on ebay, there are tons of listings and people buy that stuff. it's crazy
Dirty dirty marketing. great pics, and you have to read through all that babble to get to where is says copies? I bet many of the bidders find the auction with like 1 minute left and glaze it and bid before time runs out thinking they found that rare auction that is going for under value.
I like the lead-up story to the sales pitch. Reminds me of those children's mystery books I used to read back in the third grade. If the story is true, I'm sure the guy already cashed in all the good stuff, and the common stuff is what bidders will be getting in the mail.
This auction (which I've seen myself many of times) just proves in our current world that too many stupid ignorant people are having too many babies.
Same bogus stuff from the same seller. I guess the boxes somehow make it more attractive to bidders even though this one doesn't even come with the cigar box. Lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/JUST-DISCOVERED-COIN-COLLECTION-Amazing-Lot-/370576043543?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item56480dae17#ht_3050wt_1185 And another clock auction that is up to $76. Ugh
yea, these auctions are bogus but i did just get 9 proofs from this seller about 2 weeks ago and they were exactly as pictured and the price was right. i paid about 11.00 for 8 jefferson proofs and one roosie proof. and it got here in 2 days. so he got my good feedback. cody
