A tungsten alloy would probably do better on the SG test. Surely you can test them in a way that will not risk ruining an occasional genuine coin? (Murphy's Law).
Thanks for the post. I agree, it looks like a brass alloy I've got a couple questions now. 1. Have you done one of these slightly destructive tests on a legit silver ounce? 2. Have you seen any fake ASEs on the market yet?
What does it sound when drop it does it have silver ring to it? and have you tried magnetic slide test on it?
