Perhaps the title of the thread is more interesting than the thread itself but wanted to share my latest Canadian addition. It's a Godless (1911) 25c graded by ICG as MS63. For some reason Dei Gratia or by the grace of God was left off that year. Caused a stink at the time and made a return in 1912. Folks often want to know prices......let me just say just shy of 50% catalogue value (Charlton).
Good question. George Manz the Canadian coin dealer and authority on these things has checked it for me and said they got it right (this time). So an accurate MS63.
The 1911 "Godless" coins are a "must have" for anyone desiring to put together a Canadian type set and the prices generally reflect their desirability. Oddly enough, the Newfoundland coins for 1911 do have "Dei Gratia". At any rate, finding nice specimens of the 1911 coins makes for a pleasant hunt.
