I emailed NGC and asked if the grading included a photo when you search for the registry number. They said the only free photo they provide is when you search for the coin in the registry. Okay, so why do some coins not have a photo when you search their serial number?
That's because NGC only recently started photographing coins after they certified them. http://www.ngccoin.com/news/viewarticle.aspx?IDArticle=1205
Depends on the photo service you're talking about. NGC has 4 different services: http://www.ngccoin.com/services/photoproof.asp The free photos on the cert # page are low quality basic images, NGC offers higher quality images if you chose to pay for those services. I'm not sure why someone would chose the $5 low quality images though. My only guess is NGC provides much larger (and possibly slightly better quality images) for the paid service as opposed to the Free cert photos.
Go ahead and try to right click and save it. You can't, they are copyrighted and won't allow you to save them.
Does anyone have an example of a high quality, $10 picture from NGC? I ordered that on my last submission and I am curious to see what you get for your money. Thanks,
Some time back I tested their picture service, and found the images somewhat lacking. I found that my time and money was better spent in developing my own photography skills. Just my exerience, your experience may differ.
You may think it's funny, but if you ever get caught using NGC's proprietary images, you won't like the outcome. Why don't you just play by the rules? I seem to recall that you were complaining about someone else recently not playing by the rules. What makes you so special? Chris
If a picture can't be saved because it is copyrighted and you get around it by doing the print screen on your keyboard, or find some other way of taking it for free. then you are saying you have no respect for other's works. IMO.
