… Not But only my opinion. Because you can see the historical age of the coin. The years which have formed the patina. I could imagine that when cleaning this specimen, the naturalness is lost, the flair is lost. But of course this is only my opinion.
If you do a light cleaning, be sure to use distilled water. Tap water has chemicals that could adversely affect the coin, especially with prolonged emersion. Loose dirt can be dislodged with a wooden toothpick. I think the coin is kind of neat the way it is, but if it is to be cleaned, make it minimal to remove any dirt.
I would definitely clean it @galba68. I think that would be a beautiful coin when cleaned. I like to be able to see details, when possible. And, I've seen the results of what happens when you have one cleaned. They're amazing! But, my friend, that's just my opinion. If you choose not to clean, you could just mail it to me.
