double die, machine doubling, or ????

    found this in a roll from the bank today, only been into error coins a few months so im not positive on some of the doubling ways. thanks for everyone that has helped the noobs.

    Machine doubling on the nickel.
    The quarter? Looks like someone was trying to make an ashtray.

    The doubling is relatively strong, but there does not appear to be any separation, just shelving. I'd go with machine doubling and possibly some die wear mixed in as well.

    ok thanks, was thinking more towards machine but like i said im not the greatest and deciphering doubling. that quarter picture posted accidentally but that thing is weird its the thickness of 2-3 quarters my mom works at a bank and brought that home for me.
