I've had this coin for a while now, I first kept it because it was strange and looked interesting. Today I was looking over my coins and I came upon this one again. I'm sort of a newbie at collecting coins and not knowing much about this coin or area, I think it might be silver. The coin is a 1966 Suomen Tasavalta 1 Markka and the rim says Finland. I'm wondering whether or not it is silver. It sort of looks like it might be, but I'm no expert.
These have 35% silver for years 1964 through 1968. After that they went to copper-nickel as did most other countries around that time.
