For the past several months I have not opened any Numismatic publications that I had delivered to my home.
In fact my subscription to BankNote Reported has expired. Tonight I opened the Paper Money Mags put out by the SPMC and to my surprise found within the 50th Anniversary Issue a well embossed card stock with a Central Vignette and flanking 50's in a nice geometrical lathe pattern (orange) In the lower center is the SPMC Logo...did anyone else receive this?

I have missed many threads that I may never catch up on but I thought that for sure someone would post this by now?

Chris posted a scan here: http://www.cointalk.com/t94663-33/#post1334753 Beautiful card -- I really need to get a copy. Rick, you might enjoy scrolling through some posts on that souvenir card thread -- a lot of interesting stuff came up over the past several months.

Rick, I myself was very surprized to open that issue recently to discover the card enclosed. It was a nice little Christmas present tucked in that I was happy to behold and add to my Souvenir Card collection.

The governor did a really great job putting that card together. I have been informed that SPMC only print the number of copies of the magazine now for the number of paid members (and that there are not, if any, extra copies available after each printing). Therefore, I begin wonder if the SPMC's 50th anniversary card was handled the same way, that it's issuance is limited? Even though they did not number these cards, there may only exist a short number of them available in members hands right now. I don't know how large the member base is currently but I wonder if this may make this card somewhat collectible ($) because it's potentially limited, even though card collecting is not really a pricey activity?

Thanks for posting the link to the other thread Greg. And here's the scan of the card again so we can add it to this thread too:

    The card measures 6" x 8"

BTW, There's a lot of really neat things going on online at the all NEW SPMC web site, 50 years of Paper Money magazine will be available online, new blogs from the SPMC Governors and other writing contributors and a new Forum for general discussion and interaction with the SPMC community. It's still coming together but looking to be a great resource.

I think all the members got a souvenir card. I did. I remember when we got a membership card and if you held the card at the right angle you saw a watermark. You can still get the card but you have to send to someone for it.
