I would like to get an opinion on grade and value Does this coin appear to be cleaned? Thanks Anthony
It looks cleaned to me. It also looks like it's slabbed. Coins are much easier to access in hand than in an online photo...so what did the grader say? If the coin is slabbed...is it NGC or NCS?
I wouldn't just say cleaned but Harshly Cleaned. Looks like the 3M brillo pad got the dirt off good while taking some of precious metal with it.
I think the coin's been cleaned, but not "harshly". A patina has developed on the coin's surfaces making it more difficult to detect the signs of cleaning. Not too sure what NGC would've said... I'm a bad guesser. -Brian
The many small scratches mostly going in the same direction make it look cleaned rather than these coming from circulation. Still an attractive coin. Who slabbed it?
Anyone want to take a stab at the Grade or even if it graded? It was slabbed by one of the top 4 ...I will let everyone know if it graded and if it was in fact cleaned after all the opinions are in.
I've got some steel wool you can borrow if you wanna knock the rest of the details off that coin Just kidding but someone scrubbed the heck outta that sucker. I say NGC AU Details as well~

Cost me $230 with buyer premium .. maybe a tad high but best I have seen it my price range...and the money was burning a hole in my pocket
