    Hi All!

I'm a newbie to this forum and to coin collecting in general. I have quite a few peace dollars, some cents, and some nickels, however, the two morgans I own are my prize possessions. Would you be willing to lend me an eye on grading these?

The Morgans are an 1891-S (on the left) and 1921-S

Lot of wear on both, bagmarks, etc.

Both are common, AU/low MS worth about $32.50 - $37.

Judging by those images, both appear to have been harshly cleaned / polished. They are worth melt value.

What are the signs that they have been cleaned/polished?

I can just tell by the general look, especially on the obverses. The texture of the surface, and the way the luster (or lack there of) are indicative of a polishing. Again, it could just be the image, but that is my initial opinion. Either way, like BUncirculated said, they are common dates and would still only go for melt value.

    Also, welcome to CT!
