Looks like someone played around with an old tool and die (not the same die as minting dies I might mention) kit that machinists used. The dime suffered and when returned to the Federal Reserve it will die as damaged coinage.
Only one thing keep me from saying PMD is the smoothness+marks in the lg spot of each area. PMD was the 1st thing I thought till I ck in to the area with my 60x microscope.I think it maybe a bad planchet. I my stick it in with a few other coin to be grade as soon as Anacs has a 10/$10.00 & free return shipping. :kewl:
