If your asking why they are easily found in higher grade without a premium.
Not alot were circulated but rather sat in bags in the banks.

Actually a great deal of 1884 New Orleans Morgan Dollars were circulated, but just as many that circulated were held in storage and are easily found in grades from G to Ms-65, like yours!

Wasn't the 84-o bags found in great numbers sitting in the bank vaults (primarily out west) to where the 04-o was stored at the Treasury.

    More out east.

Out west the Morgan dollars were very popular in gambling parlors and saloons.

The eastern U.S. were not impressed with, nor cared for, the Morgan dollar and exchanged them at banks, who eventually returned them to the Mint; who stored them for decades; for greenbacks

Could be thinking of one of two things. There are 1884 O/O (or as some claim O/CC) Vam's out there not in Cherrypickers guide that I have. So for what it's worth...http://www.vamworld.com/1884-O+VAM-10 with a dispute over it being the same as VAM-50. I'm not into Vam's this is just what I found. The other thing could be 1894-O because alot of conartists and counterfeiters out there remove the O mint mark to make the coin a 1894-P mintage of only 110,000 and a thousand dollar plus price tag depending on condition. An altered MS65 could bring at least 10K without breaking a sweat.
