I joined PCGS collectors club and have my first submissions ready. I have 4 types of submissions (regular, express, economy, & voucher). My current estimate of the coins ungraded values is around 31K.

What is the best way to ship this 53 coin valuable package? 1 or several packages? Best method? I'm very concerned about sending so many valuable coins at once, but need to get them slabbed to conserve them.

Any help will be MUCH appreciated?

Break them up. That is a lot to insure at once. Send your regulars together, your express together.... Best of luck. Grading raw coins can have a lot of disappointments and lot of thrills.

Split it into two packages and send them Registered mail. Very safe, the insurance rates for Registered is much cheaper, and Registered mail can be insured for up to $25K. Other ways of shipping are limited to $5K. So you can do two packages with lower rate insurance or seven with higher rate insurance. I'm sure you will find the Registered mail cheaper. Make sure you package securely, and you might want to take photos and maybe get an appraisal before you mail them. Sent registered the chances that you will need to make a claim is for all practical purposes zero. But just in case the postman gets hit by a meteor while he is carrying your package, it will make it easier to justify the claim if they ask for proof of value.
