1996 Olympic Silver Dollar Reverse Die

    Hey gang!

    I have had a few of these over the years. This is a reverse die used to strike the 1996 Olympic proof silver dollar reverse's. If people have never seen a die with a face on it... I highly recommend taking a look at one of these in person. I thought it was cool. ENJOY!

    That's cool. I had the ones for the 99 penny but the mint ground down the actually impression area to nothingness; all I had was a piece of hardened steel. I ended up selling them to someone else as I thought it was useless without the image.

    had a chance to buy an original, uncanceled, Morgan obv die once - it was $11,000.

    That must have been a while ago ;) I'd be willing to pay multiples of that for one.

    Matt:
    That is the first certificate that I have seen, very nice.

    I only have one, the $5 Torch Bearer, supposedly the key with only #4 pieces released.

    There was an article in The Numismatist a few years ago on these.
