You will probably have to wait quite a while for those courses to be offered. The number of people who would register for those courses in any given year is probably less than the minimum number of students required to "make" the course.

If you feel strongly about any of those courses you should ask around and round up enough people who would commit to signing up for the course(s), then contact Susan McMillan (at ANA) and let her know that X number of people are clammoring for that particular course(s).

I am interested in the following. (Counterfeit detection, Natural Tone vs. Artificial, Historical detection of old U.S. coinage (How the coin was stored over the years, where it has been), Anything Franklin, Bust Quarter, Half Cent, Also Candian + UK Coins, Finally A basic course on Ancients. Oh also Bust Half, and historical Price trends. How about you guys? Lets get the interest going.

ANA added a second Counterfeit Detection course a couple of years ago so now they offer Counterfeit Detection both weeks. (I have taken the course twice - once with each set of instructors.)

The Counterfeit Detection course during Week 2 is taught by Bob Campbell and JP Martin. Bob spent a fair amount of time one day (at least he did the year I took the course) discussing how to distinguish AT from NT. He also has a DVD on AT (available from ANA).

I am signed up for 'Collecting Ancient Coins' this year. This course is offered during Week 1.

So it looks like ANA offers exactly what you are looking for. You should send in your registration TODAY for 'Collecting Ancient Coins' for Week 1 and 'Detecting Counterfeit Coins' for Week 2.

    Hope to see you there.

There are lots of things to learn, maybe get a few books? Unfortunately I'm new myself so I can't recommend anything. But I do look forward to what you find and show us.

Pretty much any course they offer you can take at home - any time you want. Just purchase the correspondent courses and then take the ones you want to take in person when they become available. If you want to.

    Congrats.

I can only imagine it was an easy decision to hire you, for a manager looking to hire someone the hardest thing to determine is what kind of morals and how honest a person is. In your case, sharing a little bit of knowledge and showing your morals was enough for them. Take care of your employer, and it sounds like they will take good care of you. Congrats again, I love seeing the nice guy finish first for a change.
