It is the 2012 silver eagle West Point NGC MS70 which sells for 97.99 or the same thing MS69 for 44.99?

It is a big price difference and I am not sure if it is worth it.

Not sure what that means, but the price differential is not worth it, unless you are going for a PCGS award.

    Also not worth it.

Sorry. I had to do it quickly. If it was PCGS it would be worth it?

I would say go the 69 if that's what you're asking.

Just wondering what would be better to buy for the future.

In my opinion, it is definitely not worth it regardless if it is NGC or PCGS. They should be minting about 40 million of these this year, so there will be thousands of 69-grades and 70-grades in theory. The grading companies will be handing out 70-grades like candy, so there will be absolutely nothing special about them. They are simply bullion.

Buy the 69-grade, save $50.00 and use that towards another coin you want. Or, for the price of a 2012 70-grade, you can basically get 3 raw 2012 silver eagles. You will have a much greater chance of getting your money back on 3 raw eagles than you will on a 70-grade bullion eagle. I would choose the raw eagles, but that is just my preference.

Save your money and get the 69, it's just as nice and doesn't support over inflated prices for the 70.

There are more collectors who can not tell the difference between the 69 and 70 than those who can.

Buy the 69, crack it out of the slab, place it in a flip, or airtite for the future ;)

Look at it this way, if you were to crack out the 70 and send it back in there is about a 30% chance it would come back as a 69 anyway. And maybe a 10% chance that the 69 would come back as a 70. Look at the coins and if you can't clearly SEE a difference why would you pay an extra $50 for something you can't see?
