I believe all of what you're seeing is Post Mint Damage. The marks you see on the surfaces are nothing more than abrasions caused from circulation and/or from when the coins were hitting against eachother in their mint canvas bag. -Brian

That's a die chip or "cud chip" (as I've heard it refered to as). Die chips typically add no premium to the coin's value. -Brian
