1982 doubling

    I found this one today and it looks like it may be a DDO. The ledges are not as flat as the double strikes I have. Did I get lucky?

    After Looking at these picture I am pretty sure it is a double die coin.

    it appears to be doubled but it may still be mdd. wait for others to chime in though.. im just thinking it may be like the 69 s mdds that appear to be the real thing..

    you might try a single source light from another angle which would bring out more detail... also there are markers to look for on various parts of the coin... It's hard to see the doubling in "TRUST" but it looks pretty good!

    the "trust" has very little doubling in the t&r. here's some pics zoomed in.

    Well... We are hoping it is a 1982P-1DO-002 (CON:2-0-V, FS#:1-1982-100)... treasuresmcd i sent you a PM with the markers to look for... coins like this is where i love my microscope!
