An ex marine and I have been emailing eachother back and forth for over a month. He is about an hour a way and finally I got to get together with him. Who knew he'd pull a picasso out of his truck along with these mighty fine morgans. He is the coolest cat I have met in some time. I could spend the day just chatting with him and hope I get the chance to some day.
What's that Picasso worth? I'm sure it's not an orginal of course but still, I know copies can be pretty big $$$$.
Its an original print. Picasso had two periods, his earlier period where he produced great masterpieces, and then later in life, (he lived a very long time), he produced tons of prints that he signed and made an excellent living. I think good for him, since so many artists never got to enjoy their success, I am glad he could cash in. I still remember Jon Lovitz's take on Picasso on SNL. Anyone else remember those skits? "Here, send your daughter to college, (while signing a napkin), better yet, (adding detail), make it Harvard!" Chris
Simper Fi! There is no such thing as a former or ex Marine. We are Marines forever. We earned it. No need to apologize. It's an acquired taste!
You should here what us Army pukes called ya'll. Don't worry, I already have heard what you called us. Its all a friendly rivalry.
Very true, but you know how hard it is to explain to civilians that you’re a Marine but no longer on active duty. They tend to look at you all confused; like a deer caught in headlights! LOL… Semper Fi!
