I stayed out of this until you made your decision and I think you made the right one. Taking care of family comes first but I do not disgree with the other comments about not losing your dream by toning up your skills and then applying for a high paying grader type job as you work your present one. By the way, that coin shop guy could have used you to start his own coin shop website and then dump you down the road or his shop could have gone south and lay offs could have occurred six months to a year later. One never knows.
