I usually dont deal much along the lines of errors but oddly enough i found this in my change and was wondering what you guys thought it would be worth. Thanks, Tyler
thanks and i know i told my girlfriend to take a picture of it and this is what she sent me >.> hence the girly looking hands lol
Thanks guys for all the info. Never collected error coins so didn't even have an idea but not bad for a quarters change lol
An error collector does not need this to be in a slab to know that it is genuine so the money would be wasted on slabbing. Richard
The cool thing is you can still see the mint mark and date. Usually those off center strikes will eliminate either one of those. It's worth more because you still have both. Of course it being a state quarter will make the year easy to identify because they only made it one year. Is it just me or are there quite a few amazing Georgia errors popping up on the boards?
Pulling from circulated change isn't gonna harm the coin anymore than what it's already gone through likely by the OP or girlfriend holding in the palm. Now, if it wasn't circulated and likely MS quality, then maybe but I wouldn't worry about it so much at this point in time. There's already so much grease and oil from people on that coin, etc, no reason to treat it like it's gold.
