Roll-searchers, post your results!

I am going to log my finds for this year also. Going to pick up 1500 in halves, and 500 in quarters on Thursday. Found a bank in a nearby town that will order them for me free!!!!! YAHOOOOO, in my opinion, thats the best way to find your silver.. GO FACE VALUE !!!! YAYYYYY good luck to everyone this year on their roll searching !!! We should have a contest, and everyone that wants to enter would have to put up a ASE or something and the person who wins at the end of 2012, all the losers mail that person 1 ASE!!!!!

Been on a roll searching hiatus for a while now but hit up some banks today. Did $300 in halves $110 each of quarters dimes and nickels. Got a 66 and 67 half as well as my first 2 war nickels ever a 43 and 45. I have never searched nickels before. That is a time consuming task!I love the searching!

 

did $1000 halves yesterday, got 1x 1964 90% and 15x 40%. also 5c 1974d DDO. That makes 15 I have found so far... sheesh.

picked up another $1000 today, but no time yet to even open them. another $2000 arriving tomorrow... lol!

 

I got my first 2 boxes of the year today. The first box had no silver but tons and tons of practically uncirculated 98s. I'm talking about 9 rolls of them. Plus there were lots of other BUs, some were almost proof like. I probably saved about 15 rolls of them to really go through and see what I want to keep.

So then I opened up the second box. First roll had a very nice BU 65. Then the next roll had another one. I rarely find 65s and here were two almost perfect ones right off the bat. Was I going to find rolls of BU silver in this box? Not quite, but I found 6 more 65s, 2 64s, and a whole bunch of other 40%ers, 25 in total. But these were mostly keepers. Only 2 gnarly ones in the bunch.

Oh and 2 82 proofs. What are the chances? Usually I'll find just one proof but two of the same year? But they weren't all that great. One had the ring of death around it and the other one looked tarnished. We'll dip that and see how it looks.

So I am THRILLED with my 2012 catch so far. I get 4 more boxes on Thursday. Hopefully I'll find some more goodies.

Box of halves, 1 '65

 

I'm hoping to get my hands on a box of non 2011 dimes today and then wait for tomorrow so I can get my two boxes of halves. I'm hoping I can land a box like VACookey just had. Who wants to share their results on their best BOX of halves from 2011. Mine was 10 x 40%ers i scored the last week of the year. Funny how that all worked out.

Any of the other Houston area searchers finding it hard to find CWR and loose halves? Most banks I visit have none...

Wow that was nice!

 

Bought 6 CWR Halves from one branch and 4 CWR plus $9.50 in loose halves yesterday. Nothing worth noting in the first 6, but I got 31 1968 D's and 2 1969's for a total of 33 40% halves from the 4 rolls plus $9.50. Thinking this was a great haul.

Box of Dimes - SKUNK
My last 5 Boxes ($1250) have all been skunk with $500 worth solid 2011P
That is my longest skunk streak on dimes ($1160 worth back in October)
Not really starting off the New Year strong.

good start to the year today- 4 cwr halves 2x 1968. then box of nickels and 3 war ncikels. Got change at the gas station and 1 silver dime! I need to find a ton of silver this year as I have a gut feeling silver will be around 60 by the end of the year

 

Got two more boxes today. Box 1 had 2 64s and 7 40%ers, box 2 had 2 40%ers.

I'm liking my streak so far. 4 more boxes tomorrow then I'll be nickel and diming myself to death this weekend.
